4 FPP to $700
  Holly23, Feb 14 2010

I saw a 4 FPP turbo buyin and decided to play it since I was bored. First place entered me into a 200 FPP buyin satellite. Following that satellite I won an entry into a 500 FPP and finally the next entry entered me into a $30 buyin satellite for the NAPT Venetian qualifier. I was pretty nervous playing this satellite considering there were unlimited $30 rebuys for 90 min. I actually did really well and did not have to rebuy once with the exception of a last minute addon for 30,000 chips right before the rebuy period ended.

I ended up placing 6th place for a prize of $700! I really would have loved to win first place since the prize was $1,100. The prize also included a $5,890 entry to potentially win a tournament buy-in, hotel accommodation and expenses to NAPT Venetian event

Oh well! 4 FPP to $$$$$ = awesomeness

I feel pretty comfortable at 5/10 but I'm still having issues with tilt lately. I hit a peak at about $200 and dropped over 10 buyins.

This hand is what set me off and after that I went on complete spewing spree :

I know this is just variance but jesus christ wtf?

Anyways, these are my results for the month of October. I cashed the rest my bankroll on stars on Oct 25th and finally created a Full Tilt account.

I'm really feel that tilt is ultimately going to hold me back from ever playing higher stakes. I'm a pretty high strung person and can get anxious pretty easily. Lately, I feel like playing online poker is just overall unhealthy for me mentally. I want to tell myself that tilt is something I can work on, but I'm the type of person that can't handle losing lightly. It is just sad because I don't really feel like I've ever been good at anything in my entire life with the exception of poker. I think for a female I'm actually pretty decent. Every time I see players with female names I immediately watch the way they play and almost always they prove to fall in line of the negative stereotype. This makes me really angry because it's like they are not even trying.

I know this is a very small sample of hands but I right now I'm going to try to stick to playing 2 tables and maybe multitable more if I can keep my bankroll in check long enough

I have not updated my blog in while since I have have little time to play poker lately. I've tried to make stabs at higher limits but after losing significant buyins I always drop back to NL2 because I feel that it is my comfort zone. I believe that my play style at this limit is very effective however it does not typically work in my favor at higher limits.

So far this is my life time history at NL2

I just started playing NL10 recently. My sample size of hands is only about 5000, but I think i'm going to try to stick to this limit for now. One thing I have been doing new lately is not relying on stats from Hold'em Manager entirely. I have encountered some situations where I find myself trying to analyze other players hand ranges.

For example, in this hand the player is running 25/22. I saw that he reraised with hands like AK, KQ, high pocket pairs, and *loves to slow play*. Although, he would limp suited connectors and would just call raises with small pocket pairs. If he had the K why check raise me with the best hand? I'm not sure if I played this hand right. I think this is one of the few occasions when I have reraised someone with middle pair. I will post the result of the hand later, but any *constructive* suggestions or criticism would be appreciated.
